We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. We also hope you have a blessed New Year!
Even if your Christmas wasn't so wonderful and you are going through challenging times, "... may God's peace, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus". Philippians 4:7.
Here are just a few scriptures that I personally meditate on when going through tough times, which have been often the past several years. I hope they can help bring you the same peace and comfort during challenging times as they have brought me.
Psalm 46:1-2 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…"
Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
1 Peter 5:8-10 "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."
1 John 4:4 "Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."
Philippians 4: 6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
May God bless you and your family this New Year!
